Create your Shakepay account

Download the Shakepay app from the App Store or Google Play (or sign up at shakepay.com), then register with your email and a strong password. You'll confirm your email and add your phone number for security.

Verify your identity

Canadian law requires crypto apps to confirm who you are. In Shakepay this takes a few minutes: enter your legal name, date of birth and address, then photograph a piece of government-issued ID and take a quick selfie. Approval is usually instant.

Add Canadian dollars

Fund your Shakepay balance with an Interac e-Transfer from your online banking — send it to the deposit address Shakepay shows you. Add a little more than your order total to cover network fees (a few dollars is plenty).

Buy Bitcoin or Ethereum

In Shakepay, tap Buy, choose Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH), and buy an amount that covers your Mavtide total plus a small buffer for the network fee. Confirm the purchase — the crypto lands in your Shakepay wallet right away.

At Mavtide checkout, pick the same coin you bought:

Add your items to the cart and complete checkout. On the final Send payment screen we show your payment address and the exact amount to send, along with your order number (e.g. MAV-XXXXX). Tap Copy address to grab it, and keep this screen open.

If your checkout shows a Pay with crypto button instead, it opens a secure invoice page — choose BTC or ETH there and it will display the same address-and-amount to copy.

Send the crypto from Shakepay

In Shakepay, open your Bitcoin or Ethereum wallet and tap Send. Then:

• Paste the Mavtide address into the recipient field (don't type it by hand).
• Enter the exact amount shown on your Mavtide payment screen.
• Double-check the first and last few characters of the address match, then confirm the send.
